    Le Manoir is beautiful, sophisticated and always evolving, with sleek new suites, vast grounds divided into horticultural 'rooms' full of character, a walled kitchen garden, a cookery school run by Stephen Bulmer, and, of course, the two-Michelin-star restaurant. Head chef is Gary Jones but the style is strictly Raymond's: polished presentation, classic French technique and distinct flavours. Despite its grandeur, it's not at all overwhelming, and you are as likely to find a family saloon as a limo in the carpark.
