Le Manoir's Ecole de Cuisine welcomes budding cooks, from the complete novice to the experienced enthusiast. It is the only 'school' in the world to offer guests the chance to watch and learn in the kitchens of a two Michelin Star restaurant.

Under the care and guidance of the school's director Stephen Bulmer, guests will learn not only the secrets of producing the finest food, but the reasons behind those secrets, as well as getting to grips with the basics of nutrition.

The cookery school is not about teaching with an iron rule, but about helping the guests understand. It's not religiously following recipes but learning techniques that can be adapted to your home whilst having enormous fun.

Established in 1991, the Ecole de Cuisine offers a small group of up to ten guests the chance to develop their skills whilst learning some of the techniques and secrets of Raymond Blanc's kitchen.



For the more indulgent, you may want to put your culinary flair to the test with a week in our world famous Ecole de Cuisine. Stay for five glorious nights at Le Manoir as a student of L'Ecole and receive four days tuition.

Each day of the 4 day / 5 night course will follow a similar timetable and will include the following:

Monday
Hot and cold starters, including souffles and home-made ravioli.

Tuesday
Selection of fresh fish with accompanying vegetables including Nage de Poissons and Papillote de Saumon et Turbot.

Wednesday
Preparation and presentation of meats with accompanying sauces.

Thursday
Patisserie including a chocolate demonstration.

The 4 day/5 night residential courses include tuition, five nights accommodation in one of Le Manoir's superb bedrooms, continental breakfast daily, four informal lunches, five dinners including Raymond Blanc's celebrated seven course Menu Gourmand with accompanying wines.

Partners of participants are welcome to stay throughout the course free of charge, although their meals and drinks are charged for separately. Lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant with your fellow students and respective partners.
